While attending high school, I was a volunteer tutor for young students in chemistry and music. Later, while attending college at Missouri State University, majoring in English, I tutored students with disabilities, like attention deficit disorder and dyslexia, for three years. I mostly helped these college students in English classes, but I also assisted them with Public Speaking, History, Drama, and Algebra. Additionally, I would look over papers they wrote, in any subject.I have a very patient disposition, and if students struggle while I am tutoring them, I don't get frustrated. Instead, I attempt another method of teaching. I make sure to give students study tips to help them manage their schoolwork, as I get that they have difficult and busy lives.The subjects that I tutor include the following: ESL/ELL, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, Public Speaking, English, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Study Skills and Organization, ACT English, Math, and Special Education.Outside of tutoring, my interests including reading, writing, camping, and playing musical instruments.
